Wait a moment! Just let me understand, they axed CSI:NY cause they haven't got enough turnover from it (and before it happened also to Miami) and now they want to do another Spinoff???
I appreciate the fact they chose a woman as main character but why FBI? And what is Cyber Crime Division? People is used to see something related to ICT only when Adam (or who in his place) tries to track a cellphone or something like that... It will be something very different from the Original CSI...
Let's point out that call "CSI: Miami" and "CSI:NY" spinoffs of "CSI Crime Scene Invastigation" it's not so appropriate defination (spinoff defination: a television drama obtained by developing a series of background elements from the original one: an example is taking a cue from one of the characters to develop a new series) the only thing that they have in common is the title CSI and the fact they all do that job, but the characters are all different. If we look from another angle we'll observe that they are the same show (Zuiker is only asking us if we prefered black/green, yellow/red or blue/gray shoes)
And CSI:NY cannot be considered daughter of CSI Crime Scene Invastigation because it is introduced by CSI: Miami (so it's the granddaughter of the original show)
A perfect spinoff would have been CSI: New Orleans to follow Stella after she left NY.
So, after all this nice explanation even too much professional, the creators of the CSI series never cease to surprise us with news like this. I want to see how many will follow the new show!
